● Checking…
ScreenForge will check the prepared firmware, connect to the ESP32, and guide the update from here.
A full-flash backup is downloaded automatically before firmware is replaced.
The first connection may ask you to choose the USB device. Keep the USB cable connected while the backup, update, and automatic verification finish.
Advanced device toolsManual backup, restore, serial diagnostics, calibration, and flashing
Back up before testing. Manual tools can replace the ESP32 flash. The automatic Device Center flow creates a full binary backup first; this section is for recovery and diagnostics.
1. Connect and inspect
The bootloader handshake starts at 115200 internally, then switches to this speed. Automatic recovery tries 921600, 460800, and 230400. If the USB link is still noisy, ScreenForge asks before retrying at 115200 because a 4 MB backup can take several minutes.
No ESP32 bootloader connected.
2. Make a safe backup
Creates one .sfbackup file containing metadata and the complete flash image from address 0x0.
3. Manual runtime install
ScreenForge can now flash the prepared runtime from this web app. This build targets the external MSP2807 / ILI9341 wiring shown in your curve-tracer schematic.
Direct installation replaces the current sketch. Your verified backup can restore the original firmware later.
4. Restore the original firmware
Select the backup made above. Restore writes the full image back to address 0x0.
No backup selected.
5. Progress and log
Idle0%
Ready. Close Arduino/PlatformIO serial monitors, connect the ESP32 with a USB data cable, and start at 115200. Some boards may require holding BOOT while connecting.
TOUCH CALIBRATION IN PROGRESS
Touch every highlighted target on the LCD
Keep the USB cable connected. ScreenForge has paused layout uploads and action tests until calibration finishes.
Do not press Send Live Layout or reset the ESP32 while the corner targets are on the LCD. To abort a stuck calibration, press EN/RESET and reconnect.
